It has been a lot of work out here, but also a lot of fun.

WY - Scotty doing the dishes

Exploring Red Lodge, MT
We only live 3 miles from the WY/MT border and one of our favorite towns so far is Red Lodge!!  We went into Red Lodge first on Saturday April 26th, 2014.  It was pouring down rain so we really just drove around to explore.  But we did stop in at Red Lodge Ales Brewing Company.  Scott tried Jack's Scottish Ale (we had to for Jack Miller:) and also the Glacier Ale.  He liked them both and said they were better than any beer he has had in OH!  The bar tender, Ross, was so nice to us, he even gave me $1 (I was $1 short) to buy one of their homemade cookies! They were cash only and we didn't bring enough.  He said that it means we have to come back!!  And we did!!

This past Saturday (May 3rd, 2014) we went into Red Lodge again to do some more exploring.  This time we parked and walked down the main drag and went into a few stores.  I really like the Red Lodge Rocks store - full of beautiful rocks from the area and lots of neat things to decorate with.  Then we moved on to a very fancy/expensive design/furniture store.  Everything was so beautiful! Gave me lots of ideas once I'm able to start decorating.  We also stopped in the liquor store, mostly because I was curious what regional things they had that were different from back in OH.  I was pleasantly surprised that they did have the KY bourbons!!

We did come across this and thought of Jack Miller!!

Finally we stopped at the  Montana Candy Emporium!!  I can't wait to take my dad here (we all know he loves sugary treats!!).  One of the best parts of this store, besides the candy, is all the antiques that decorate the entire place! The lady here told us it was originally a movie theater (which explains the marquee out front).  We treated ourselves to one piece of chocolate each that we had back at the trailer later that night.

Paul 'Chet' Adkins - we couldn't resist this picture thinking of you!!

Finally we stopped for dinner again at the Red Lodge Ales Brewing Co. (not only is their beer good, but they have fantastic sandwiches and amazing service too!).
