Quick update on Scott: We've had a lot of people asking how he's doing since he has been out of the hospital, and he is doing great!! He even downed a large bottle of Cranberry Juice in ~36 hours to help his kidneys. He had 2 follow up appointments next week and we have a list of tests that the hospital suggested he get. But all in all, he is doing great!
We postponed breaking ground by one week so we could both recuperate.
On Top of the World!!
Today (Saturday, May 24th) we decided to take a drive and drove down the Chief Joseph Highway then got on the Beartooth Hwy through Red Lodge to head home. This is the coolest drive I've ever been on!! I have so much to tell about our road trip and lots of pictures, but I'll have to add them later (on the wrong computer). There is actually a store on the Beartooth Hwy that is called 'On top of the world' or something along those lines.
There was snow 30+ ft high alongside of the hwy!! At one point it even started snowing/sleeting with some thunder too. This, I believe, was the first 'opening' weekend for the Beartooth Hwy, so there was a decent amount of traffic, bunches of skiers, snowboarders, and snowmobile riders!! We had a blast!
On Friday, we drove into Cody and went to the Buffalo Bill Dam and drove to Wapiti and discovered how beautiful the drive was! There is a lake and lots of beach front in the National Park. We even saw, what we believe, was a herd of elk!! I also have pictures from this day trip too that I'll post soon.
That's all for now! Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!!
